About Shelley Miller

Shelley Miller is a Marriage Family Therapist. She is licensed by the State of California. She has been in private practice for 22 years. She treats relationship and school issues, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders, ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder.

Shelley’s Psychotherapeutic approach combines both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Therapy. Through these approaches clients quickly begin to understand misperceptions, alternative ways of seeing a problem, and ultimately how to change their responses to that problem.

She worked as a School Psychologist with the Los Angeles Unified School District for 6 years. Duties included psychotherapy with children and families, psycho-educational testing, formulating Individualized Educational Plans, and working with local agencies in dealing with substance and alcohol abuse, child and domestic abuse, and eating disorders.

Shelley has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. She also has a teaching credential from the University of California, Los Angeles.
